I was born and raised in a small town in Vermont, USA, where I
still reside to this day. I tried to live elsewhere, but the beauty
of this state called me back. The peacefulness and serenity of
the countryside is the perfect environment in which to be
artistic.
I have always been drawn to Art (pardon the pun!) and have
worked in various media. I settled on oil painting in 2006, yet, I
also continue to make Egyptian Healing Amulet Necklaces out
of fired ceramic clay and Art Clay Silver.
In Vermont, it is easy to find inspiration for nature scenes
because everywhere you look is a potential photograph,
drawing or painting, waiting to be captured. I, personally,
prefer to paint 'close-up' scenes, as opposed to vast
landscapes because, as with people, no matter how
unpleasant a particular scene may appear, if you look close
enough, you can always find some good.
